Fitness app with an AI coach

Project at a glance

Problem

QFit is Quantum Dev’s own product. The task was to bring personal workouts, nutrition and progress together in one app where users can change their plan and log entries by talking to an AI coach. The plan has to take into account the user’s schedule, sleep, how they feel and the equipment they have, so that workouts fit into everyday life at home or at the gym.

What we did
  • AI coach to move and swap workouts and log food and weight
  • Adaptive weekly plan for gym, running and swimming
  • Calorie and macro estimates from text or photos
  • Meal menu with a shopping list and a meal plan for couples
What the client wanted
  • Bring workouts, nutrition and progress together in one app
  • Adapt the plan to the user’s schedule and well-being
  • Let users change the plan and log entries through chat

Workouts and nutrition in one place

QFit combines a weekly workout plan, a food diary and stats on weight, activity and running. Users keep track of everything in one place and ask the AI coach when the plan needs to change.

The app works on phones and computers, can be added to the home screen and supports push notifications. All features can be tried free for 14 days, with no card required.

The plan adapts to your life

The weekly plan combines gym, running and swimming. It takes into account schedule, sleep and how you feel, as well as the equipment you train with. If plans change, just message the coach: in the chat, you can move or swap a workout and rebuild the week.

Coach notes link the upcoming training load to the workouts already completed. Workouts from a watch can be imported as files and screenshots, and syncing with an external workout tracking service is also available.

A diary you keep by chatting

Food can be logged with a regular message or a photo of the meal. The AI coach estimates calories and macros, so there’s no need to weigh every portion to keep the diary. Users log their weight in the same chat; the conversation stays on training and nutrition.

The app also has a meal menu with a shopping list and a shared meal plan for couples.

Exercise technique on hand

The QFit library includes 1,894 exercises with photos, videos and technique descriptions. Each exercise card lists the equipment, difficulty and muscle groups, and the movements are broken down step by step.
