App for a home goods store chain
Client: Unidom
An app for the Unidom chain where shoppers choose home goods, check in-store availability and place orders

Project at a glance
Unidom is a chain of hypermarkets and an online store selling kitchenware and goods for the home, garden and leisure. The client needed an iOS and Android app so shoppers could browse the catalog, fill a cart and manage orders from their phones. The app had to connect to the existing online store on 1C-Bitrix (CMS), the 1C:Retail accounting system and loyalty program, payment and delivery.
- Catalog with search and category-specific filters
- Promotions and themed collections
- Product pages with photos, prices and availability
- Stock levels based on the shopper’s city
- Let shoppers order products from their phones
- Show product availability by store
- Connect the app to the online store and the accounting system

Catalog and store offers
The home screen brings together promotions, themed collections and search. From here, shoppers can go to the catalog, their loyalty card and their orders.
The catalog is split into categories, from dishes and kitchen utensils to textiles and garden goods. The set and order of filters depend on the category and come from the server. Long lists of options open in a separate window.

Availability before the trip to the store
The product page shows photos, item number, price, discount and availability in stores. Shoppers can assess a product and check where it is available before going out to buy it.
Stock levels take into account the selected city and the distribution center: the warehouse in the shopper’s city is shown first, then the distribution center.

Cart and orders
In the cart, shoppers can change quantities and remove single items or several selected items at once. The total price and weight are shown next to the list of items. From the cart, the shopper goes on to checkout.
The personal account brings together order history and statuses, favorites, product comparison and reviews. This is where shoppers come back to their purchases and saved items.

Technical details
The app and the backend
The mobile app is built with Flutter. The backend uses 1C-Bitrix and PHP Flight Framework. We created APIs for the cart, checkout and payment.
On the 1C-Bitrix side, we built loyalty program components: points balance and history, points accrual in the cart and checkout with points.
The client got an app where shoppers can choose products, check availability by store, fill a cart and manage their orders.
Target audience
- Shoppers buying dishes and kitchen goods
- Shoppers buying home, garden and leisure goods
- Unidom store customers who plan purchases in advance
What users need
Job to be done — from situation to outcome
I need things for the kitchen, home and garden. Before going to the store, I want to know whether the items are in stock and how much the purchase will cost.
I want to buy everything in one store, judge products by photos, specs and reviews, and know up front what getting the order will cost.
I can plan the purchase before the trip: check availability, see the total with delivery or choose free pickup.
