Project at a glance

Problem

The Kapital pawnshop chain issues loans secured by valuables and buys and sells goods in Novosibirsk. The website had to bring these lines of business together: explain the terms of the services, show the product range and let visitors request a preliminary appraisal of an item before going to a branch. A separate task was to design a personal account where borrowers can see their pledged items, deadlines and outstanding debt, and then go on to pay the interest or repay the loan in full.

What we did
  • Catalog with photo categories and a search bar
  • Appraisal request form with photo attachments
  • Service pages with collateral requirements
  • Addresses, opening hours and a branch map
What the client wanted
  • Combine pawnshop services and a product catalog on one website
  • Offer preliminary appraisal requests by photo
  • Help visitors choose a branch before the trip

Appraisal before the visit

We developed the public website on Symfony. The home page introduces visitors to loans secured by valuables: it shows which items are accepted and leads to an appraisal request.

In the form, the visitor chooses the item category and attaches up to 10 photos. The flow then has a manager get in touch to clarify the details. This lets people request a preliminary appraisal before they visit the pawnshop.

For different types of collateral, we prepared pages with item requirements and the appraisal procedure. Visitors can learn in advance what the pawnshop accepts and how getting a loan works.

A catalog with category photos

The range is divided into categories, from jewelry and laptops to furs and tools. Large photos help shoppers find their way, and sale items have their own section.

Above the categories is a search bar with sample queries by product or brand. For product listings, we designed subcategories, prices and filters by specifications.

Home page and catalog on a phone

We prepared desktop and mobile interfaces. On the mobile home page, the link to the catalog comes before the loan offer, so a visitor who came to buy sees the right section straight away.

The online appraisal block explains the request step by step: enter the desired amount, add photos and get an appraisal. In the mobile catalog, categories run in a single column with large images, with search above them.

On the mobile home page, the link to products comes first, followed by the loan offer and a description of the online appraisal

Branches and planning a visit

The website lists branch addresses, opening hours and contacts. A branch map with a link to Yandex Maps helps people choose a location in advance.

Visitors can learn about the services and the range, find out how appraisal works and plan a trip to a branch.

Borrower’s personal account

We designed an account with sign-in by phone number and a verification code. The pawn ticket shows the status, dates, list of items and amounts owed — the information a borrower needs to keep track of their pledge.

The payment flow separates two actions: paying the interest or repaying the debt in full. Each option has its own button.

Target audience

  • People who need cash against an item as collateral
  • Visitors who want to sell valuables
  • Shoppers buying pawnshop goods
  • Borrowers of the Kapital pawnshop chain
