Project at a glance

Problem

Award, a Russian pet food brand, needed an online store where customers could get to know the brand, explore diets for cats and dogs and order food. A separate goal was to let customers ask for advice when choosing a diet.

What we did
  • Catalog of cat and dog food
  • Sorting and filters by the pet’s characteristics
  • Product search
  • Product pages with photos, ingredients and what the food is for
What the client wanted
  • Let customers choose and buy Award food online
  • Present the brand and its food lines
  • Give customers a way to get help choosing food

A store that introduces the brand

We built the Award brand online store. The home page presents the food lines with links to the catalog, and the “About the brand” section covers the brand’s history, mission and range of diets.

News and articles add content about pet nutrition and new products. Customers can get to know the brand before they buy.

A catalog built around the pet’s needs

The catalog is split into products for cats and for dogs. Each section has veterinary diets, treats and everyday food: customers start by choosing the type of pet and what the product is for.

The product list offers sorting and filters by the pet’s characteristics. Price, rating and number of reviews are shown on the list cards, next to the add-to-cart button. Product search sits in the site header.

Ingredients and a specialist’s help

The product page combines package photos, a description, the ingredients and the food’s specifications. Before buying, customers can check what the diet is for and the age recommendations.

The same page lets customers contact a personal assistant. A specialist helps choose food based on the pet’s age, breed, health and preferences.

Shopping from a phone

The store has a mobile version. Catalog categories are stacked one under another, and the bottom navigation bar gives access to the home page, catalog, cart and sign-in.

Product search and the help button are at the top of the screen.

Orders with delivery agreed by an operator

After an order is placed, an operator confirms its contents and delivery with the customer — to the door or to a pickup point. Once the order is confirmed and packed, a payment link is sent to the customer’s phone or email.

Delivery and payment terms have their own page. Whether customers can pay on delivery depends on the region and the delivery method; shipping to other regions by freight carriers requires prepayment.

Target audience

  • Cat and dog owners
  • Customers who need advice on their pet’s diet
